"QUALITY EDUCATION TOWARDS EXCELLENCE"
From a lowly one-storey building of the then Tabing Ilog Primary School raised on of the most promising academic institutions in Pasay City.
The school became and was known as M. dela Cruz Elementary School when it offered intermediate classes in 1947. It was the same year when Pasay City, that time Rizal City got its cityhood. On June 7, 1950, the city was legally given its present name and a year after, M. Dela Cruz Elementary School became Juan Sumulong Elementary School, an institution named after the late Senator Juan Sumulong. Since then, it has witnessed a tremendous change.
With its steady increase in enrollment, wooden buildings were demolished and replaced by concrete ones with more number of classrooms. At present, the school has 30 classrooms, four two-story buildings and a three-story administration building, all fully furnished with complete facilities. The school has clinic, library, computer (E-Lab) laboratory, gymnasium, covered court, PLAY GROUND, science Center, and Home Economics and Industrial Arts Practice Houses.
Kindergarten classes were opened to preschoolers to provide them with necessary preparatory skills before their entrance to grade one.
The present administration with its programs and strategies has its noble mission to enhance further the quality of school outputs and produce productive, peace-loving and God-fearing citizens who shall lead the nation to a brighter future
